Event Security Tips

Events are slowly coming back!

It is a shimmer of good news that events are starting to be allowed to go ahead, the government announced that open-air gigs, festivals, and theatre shows would be able to resume within the social distancing guidelines. This has come as short notice for many event organisers, though this also highlights a great importance on hiring the correct security detail for your event.

Why take unnecessary risks?

At each event you will need to perform a risk assessment as normal, but this must also include social distancing guidelines. There are multiple things to think about when performing a risk assessment, such as:

What is the ingress and egress of the venue?

Is the event outdoors or indoors?

What is the purpose of the event and performance of the event?

Envisage Security are more than happy to help consult with you regarding any queries you may have whilst completing a risk assessment.

What can we bring to your event?

In security the most important thing is not to be reactive to threats or incidents, but to be proactive. The aim is to stop it from happening before any escalation in disturbance or violence, this requires professional and experience staff team – especially with the return from the lockdown, people may not wish to follow social distancing guidelines or be more apprehensive surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

It is key to have a visible security as this helps deter any escalations and helps guests feel safer, this can also include registration staff and information points. They can help provide information and enforce the social distancing rules, such as wearing facemasks, keeping at least one metre distance and directions to entrances and exits.

All our staff will have the required SIA licensing qualifications from CCTV to Close Protection, this including Door Supervisors for your event. We provide in depth briefing to all our staff regarding the new government guidelines to keep safe during their work, this including wearing face masks where necessary, equipping sanitisation gels on top of their regular security equipment like high visibility and appropriate uniform.

No matter your event, we can help!

Music Venues – Big or small, we can provide ticket staff to crowd control, this is important in keeping your performers safe and audiences safe.

Private Parties – To stop unwanted guests from attending or to ensure that social distancing is being followed.

Corporate events – If you are hosting a corporate meeting or function and want people to be checked into the venue and to provide information on the new guidelines.

Weddings – Up to 30 people are allowed to attend wedding celebrations, to keep the atmosphere fun and a day to remember, especially if guests are indulging in a few drinks.
